Mario Marathon
I’m leaving for a float trip this weekend, and won’t be able to access the internet through conventional means. The float trip will be great, but there is one thing that destroys my soul, and almost brings me to tears: I’ll be missing the second Mario Marathon. For those of you haven’t a clue what I’m talking about, let me inform you.
In the latter part of June 2008, a handful of nerdy dudes and their wives decided that they wanted to do something for charity. To do this, they broadcasted themselves playing every major Mario game in existence. They had an ingenious setup involving a picture and picture display, live chat, and some odd ‘fan art’. Regardless, it was a big hit and raised over $11,000.00 for Child’s Play.
Well, the dudes are at it again, and you can watch it all right here. Be sure to chip in some spare coin if you can, because it’s for a very hip charity. I chipped in five bucks last year.
Wishing he could see the glorious return of Couch Dog,
